"Jafro Music Projects" begun in 2012 as a means of showcasing my projects from college and a number of guitar instrumental jams. The has project since grown to encompass many different genres and styles ranging from Hendrix inspired blues rock, QoTSA inspired desert rock, to industrial music, electronic art rock and more. I have had stints with a couple of bands over the years, playing in a band from my first year of university who would go on to be signed to my future employers at Phoenixx Records, called "Torpedo" as a guitarist.
I have been playing guitar since 2006 (as well as bass since 2014) and recording/producing music since 2011, having been studying the subject of Music and Music Technology since secondary school. My main musical influences (to name a few) include: Jimi Hendrix, Angus Young, Josh Homme, Chris Cornell, Trent Reznor, Alain Johannes, Natasha Shneider, Omar Rodriguez- Lopez, Teri Suarez and Iggy Pop.
I have recently completed my Master's Degree in Music Technology at Staffordshire University where over the course of my undergraduate and postgraduate study I have been able to showcase my work as a songwriter and producer, most recently in my work with Phoenixx records and their artist Hannah Lovenberry.
During which time I helped co-write pieces with her as well being head producer and engineer of the project. Her debut EP will be released very soon.
I have recently been performing in our universities jazz session band, headed by my Master's course leader with a view to performing local gigs.
In addition to this I also worked as Staffordshire University Student's Unions sound and lighting technician.Working with a number of local DJ's and bands as well as famous faces like Tynchy Stryder, and The Chuckle Brothers.
In addition to this I am releasing a number of records and singles throughout the coming years encompassing a variety of genres available on multiple streaming platforms.
